Abstract with a hint of music

I recently started doing an online course with CG Workshops called Becoming a Better Artist.

It is all kinds of absolutely freaking awesome.

This is an abstract piece that I did for the 'composition' component.

I still have much to learn and there is a lot of practice ahead of me, but I'm excited about where I'm going!

Wolf Seeker: page 1

This is a quick-and-dirty digital inking of page one of my graphic novel "Wolf Seeker". I pencilled the first four pages to submit to a graphic novel masterclass in the hopes of winning an hour of feedback from artist Colleen Doran. Here's hoping!

"Hunting"

This week's theme is "hunting".

And there is nothing more subtle than a sky shark.

And the theme is... hair!

Team Miro is keeping sharp with weekly themes to challenge us. This week it was "hair".

I got an idea in my head that turned into a burning need to be diagnosed as clinically insane. Welcome to the hair landscape! Or, the home of Cousin It.

Rendered in Photoshop. A lot. An awful, awful lot.

Edit: I kicked up the highlights and overall brightness to make the scene look more daylit.

Fashion Illustration

A project showing an existing garment by a famous designer (in this case, a gothic-punk dress by Vivienne Westwood) with our own spin on it.

This fashion illustration was hand-drawn and scanned, then rendered in Photoshop.
